About Me – Sascha Soffner
My name is Sascha Soffner. I’m 28 years old, born in Italy and raised in Germany. After many years in Germany, I am now moving with my family to Cyprus—a new chapter in life deeply connected to my decision to follow my heart’s path.
As a child, I loved to paint passionately. Colors, shapes, images—they moved me and wanted to flow through me into the world. My dream was to become an artist. But like many young dreamers, I was told early on that only a tiny minority of artists manage to make a living from their work. Four percent, they said. That unsettled me—and as a result, I chose a “safer” path: training as a cook. Even there, I could be creative when the framework allowed it.
But the fire inside me—the artist within—never fully went away. It burned quietly until I could no longer ignore it.
Today, more than ten years later, I consciously follow my path as an artist. Not because it’s easy, but because it’s authentic. Because deep inside, I know this is my way. I don’t paint because I have to. I paint because I can’t do otherwise. When I start a painting, I often enter a trance. The colors speak to me. They tell me what comes next. Sometimes I use only my hands, feel the painting, and let it emerge through me.
This is how my project Emotion in Color came to life. Each of my paintings expresses emotion—sometimes intense, sometimes delicate, but always honest. For me, painting is not only art but also healing. A way to deal with my emotions, to make them visible. I believe many emotional, creative people know this inner calling—the desire to express themselves, to feel themselves—through art.
But my dream goes beyond my own paintings. I want to create an online gallery—a place where artists can present their works. Where art is not only shown but lives and continues to be carried forward. This includes a system that supports artists long-term: through visibility, marketing, and genuine appreciation.
Part of this vision is also a donation account that specifically promotes art projects and supports artists sustainably. Additionally, we seek partnerships with restaurants and hotels that want to exhibit original art—not just mine, but from many artists. This collaboration aims not only to make art visible but also to strengthen local businesses. Because art can connect—people, places, emotions.
I sincerely thank you for taking the time to read my story. Maybe something here speaks to you. Maybe you recognize yourself in it. Maybe you want to become part of this vision.
